SentiLink, a San Francisco-based company focused on identity verification and synthetic fraud prevention, and NFM Lending (NFM) announced today that NFM will be accessing the Social Security Administration’s (SSA) Electronic Consent Based SSN Verification program (eCBSV) through SentiLink.
eCBSV is a new service offered by the SSA that allows entities to electronically obtain consent from consumers and verify name, date of birth, and Social Security number combinations in real-time. This program can replace the traditional CBSV process, which requires customers to complete and submit a wet-signed SSA89 form, common in the mortgage lending space. NFM customers can e-sign the form instead, further digitizing NFM’s best-in-class online mortgage application process.
“We’re excited to partner with SentiLink, who are first-to-market with this new service offering. We realize the value of digitizing the mortgage process and are excited to further improve our customer experience with an all-electronic loan disclosure solution using SSA’s eCBSV. As a company, we’ve doubled in size in the past year and we look to bring on partners such as SentiLink who can help facilitate and maintain our rapid growth.” — Christos Bettios, Chief Information Officer
“We’re thrilled to be the first company to offer eCBSV as a service and are very grateful to the team at NFM for their collaboration. We’re very proud to work with such a technology-forward team that understands and is building the future of mortgage lending,” said Naftali Harris, co-founder and CEO of SentiLink.
